*Introduction to Stop Motion Animation*
Ever wanted to make objects come to life? In this fun, hands-on workshop, participants of all ages will discover the magic of stop motion animation using everyday materials and a smartphone. From clay and magazine cut-outs to leaves, toys, and found objects, almost anything can become an animated character.
Perfect for complete beginners, this workshop shows just how easy and creative animation can be. Participants will learn the basics of movement, create a simple DIY filming setup, and make their own mini animations using free apps—skills they can continue experimenting with at home.
Together we’ll explore:
What animation is and how it creates the illusion of movement
Building a simple stop-motion setup with household materials
Using a phone and free apps to create animations
Experimenting with clay, collage, drawings, and found objects
Bringing ideas to life one frame at a time
*Character Drawing for People Who Think They Can’t Draw*
Think you “can’t draw”? Perfect—this workshop is for you! Designed for curious adults and kids alike, this relaxed and playful session helps take the pressure out of drawing and shows that anyone can create memorable characters.
Through fun exercises, demonstrations, and plenty of experimentation, participants will discover how simple shapes and confident lines can become expressive characters full of personality. No experience required, just a willingness to doodle and have fun.
Together we’ll explore:
How simple shapes can inspire unique characters
The role of shape and expression in character design
Drawing with confidence instead of perfection
Playful exercises to loosen up and spark ideas
Learning through demos, examples, and group discussion
